A new shock to Al-Ahly .. developments in the injury of Hamdi Fathi

Khaled Mahmoud, Al-Ahly’s physician, revealed new developments regarding the injury of Hamdi Fathi, the red midfielder, who suffers from a knee cartilage cut.

Hamdi Fathi suffered a knee cartilage injury during the Egypt national team camp last November. He underwent surgery in Germany and is currently performing his rehabilitation program.

Mahmoud said in TV statements to his club, Nadia: “Hamdi Fathi needs 9 months to recover from the injury after undergoing cartilage surgery according to the latest medical recommendations.”

He added: “The operation performed for Hamdi Fathi is to sew the cartilage and not (his stories), in order to maintain the integrity of the cartilage of the player for a long-term period, especially since his age is small and it is allowed.”

He continued: “The first stage of treatment is going well after the surgery, and it is scheduled to enter the stage of bending and moving the foot in the coming period.”

He added: “Hamdi Fathi will go to Germany on the 18th of this month to check on his injury and the progress of the rehabilitation process by the surgeon who performed the operation.”

Al-Ahly had announced earlier that Hamdi Fathi’s injury would take approximately 6 months to return to the stadiums, but the team’s recent doctor’s statements confirm that his football season has officially ended, so that he returns early next season after the end of the 9 months.
