A new carpooling area was inaugurated on Thursday morning in the south of Dijon

The municipality of Fénay now has a carpooling area with 49 seats set up and secured, instead of a previous space not equipped until then, used by 20 to 30 vehicles per day. Identified by reinforced signs, the new space favors sustainable mobility (shelter for carpoolers, bicycle racks) on land suitable for rainwater recovery (permeable surfaces, valleys, capture of any pollution, green spaces, etc.), also equipped with solar street lights. This project for the creation of a new carpooling area is a response to the needs of space protection and support for an approach fully in line with sustainable development and ecological transition.
The operation, located near the A311 motorway, for a total cost of 320,000 euros, was financed for 246,670 euros by APRR as part of the 2018-2022 Motorway Investment Plan and supported for 73,330 euros for the metropolitan area of Dijon.
