According to a local TV channel, in July 2020 an investigation was launched against Kireev for possible cooperation with the Russian special services. The media reported that Kireev traveled to Russia several times a year. Obozrevatel notes that Kireev is not on the official list of the Ukrainian delegation, but can be seen in one of the photos of the talks.
