Gommern – “Last week we were pleased to receive an approval notice that promised us 100% funding,” says Gommern’s mayor Jens Hünerbein. “The next step will be to put the planning services out to tender,” he says happily.
It’s about municipal heat planning and the Building Energy Act. It stipulates that small towns, including Gommern, will implement heat planning by 2028. This includes an inventory analysis. The entire community looks at how heating is currently done, which heat sources are used and which could be used. What is available, what is conceivable and how does the energy get into companies and households: wind energy, biogas, district heating, photovoltaics, heat pumps.
Exactly that inventory analysis can now be initiated thanks to the funding and an engineering firm can be commissioned to do it. Gommern has achieved a major coup because only those who submit this funding application by December 31, 2023 will receive 100% funding. If you arrive late, you will have to dig deep into your pockets later.
