A little more than 28,000 euros – Suzuki Vitara Shinkai special model in limited numbers (+ PHOTO)

Suzuki launched a special version of the compact crossover Vitara Shinkai, which will cost a little more than 28,000 euros on the German market.

If you ever come across a dark blue Vitara on the street with a gray roof and Shinkai lettering on the rear side window, know that it is one of only 1,100 limited edition special editions.

The Shinkai, which means “deep sea” in Japanese, features a dark blue Sphere Blue Pearl Metallic body, combined with a Galactic Gray Metallic roof and matte black accents. The special edition also features a rear bumper with Galactic Gray trim and mirror housings in the same color, as well as version lettering on both side rear windows.

Suzuki Vitara Shinkai is limited in number. The manufacturer does not disclose the exact number, but the media reports that at least 1,100 units have been promised.

In Germany, the Vitara Shinkai will cost 28,050 euros in the Comfort equipment package, including an audio system with smartphone connection, automatic climate control and LED headlights. Top equipment “Comfort+” (from 30,750 euros) also includes front and rear parking assistant, electrically adjustable, folding and heated exterior mirrors and a glass panoramic roof with electric drive.

Standard safety kit includes active brake assist, lane departure warning with touch function, driver drowsiness detection, road sign recognition, blind spot warning assist, rear cross traffic alert and a reversing camera.

Buyers of the Vitara crossover can choose between a 1.4-liter 129 hp turbo gasoline engine with a 48 V mild hybrid system and a 6-speed manual transmission, or a full hybrid version with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 102 hp and a 24 kW electric motor combined with automated 6-speed manual transmission. Both can be combined with front or all-wheel drive.
