“In the operations department, like those pilots and flight attendants, there are fixed salary (salary) and flight allowance (allowance). Quantity fixed salary whether you fly or not, you can get that much, it depends on your level of seniority and position. As for flight allowance aka the allowance is the compensation paid for flying. It becomes a variable,” Vera explained.

In fact, the position as a flight attendant for AirAsia is quite popular. In the last recruitment carried out a few months ago, there were around 5,000 applicants to take part in the AirAsia flight attendant selection.
“We opened recruitment a few weeks ago and the demand is overwhelming. There are more than 5,000 applicants. That’s the largest number of applicants in history for a single round of cabin crew selection Air AsiaVera said.
“There has never been such a big number. Moreover, we don’t often open recruitment for cabin crew,” he added.
