From July 1, Turkey will increase the maximum speed limit on highways, the Turkish Interior Ministry said, quoted by CNN-Turk.
As early as May, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced that the maximum speed allowed for highway traffic in Turkey would be increased from July 1st.
Currently, the maximum speed limit for travel on highways in the country is 120 km / h.
From July 1, drivers will be able to drive at up to 130 km / h on the highway from Edirne to Sanliurfa, and on other highways, including Kuzai Marmara, Istanbul-Izmir, Ankara-Nigde, with up to 140 km / h.
