A jogger attacked with a knife in Saint-Sulpice

It should have been a simple jog by the lake. But the exit of this young 20-year-old Swiss did not go as planned. Monday around 4 p.m., while running along the lake near Saint-Sulpice beach, the jogger saw a man and a woman arguing.

The young man decided to intervene. When he reached the place of the dispute, at the Chemin du Laviau, the woman left. The story could have ended there. But the man she was arguing with approached the runner, taking a knife from his pocket. He injured the jogger twice in the arm in a superficial manner, said the police in a press release.

After kicking his victim again, which sent him to the ground, the perpetrator fled in an unknown direction. An investigation was launched and the police called for witnesses. Persons who were at this location at the time of the incident or who were in the immediate vicinity and who are in possession of elements likely to advance the investigation are asked to contact the Engagement and Transmission Center on 021 333 5 333.
