Dr. Hussam Fawzi, consultant of cardiovascular diseases, advised to Echo Al-Balad, advised a set of advice that should be followed in the winter for heart health and health in general, namely:

1- Drinking lots of warm drinks and liquids while at home.

2- Reducing salts in food and pickles because these salts cause an increase in blood pressure due to water and salt retention in the body with less sweat in winter, so it is difficult to get rid of excess salts.

3- Eat more fruits and citrus fruits rich in vitamin C, calcium and magnesium, such as oranges, tangerines, apples and guava.

4- Reduce dinner time and be two hours before bed.

5- A useful drink is cinnamon evening in milk or cinnamon with ginger in milk, as it reduces blood viscosity and has natural anti-inflammatory.

6- Star anise is a very useful drink, because it contains natural antiviral viruses that cause influenza.

7- Eating legumes like beans, lentils and peas, it gives energy and supplies the body with magnesium and potassium necessary for cardiovascular and muscle activity.

8- Green tea is also rich in antioxidants that maintain blood vessels and prevent arteriosclerosis.

9- Coffee is good for the heart, not harmful, but it is best to drink it from 2-3 cups per day.

10- Taking into consideration that the abdomen is not full with fatty and solid foods and that we leave enough places, fluids and drinks to maintain blood thinners.
