A hairdresser in Montpellier (Hérault) was betrayed by a client who was checked out shortly after leaving the salon and who denounced his continued activity.

This Saturday, a random check of the confinement in a street in Montpellier allowed the police to uncover the practices of a hairdresser, not very respectful of the measures in force to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

During a health crisis, a client who had just left the hairdressing salon was checked on the way back. Unable to provide a valid reason for leaving, he admitted that he went to have his hair cut, reports France Blue.

Six customers in the living room, curtain down

The police immediately went to the address indicated, near Saint-Roch station, and found the curtain down. Upon closer inspection, they found that no less than six customers were still in the living room waiting to have a haircut.

A check was carried out and, despite the certificates provided by customers for “purchases of basic necessities”, they each received a 135 euros fine for non-compliance with the containment measures.

Manager faces heavy penalties

The manager of the hairdressing salon was also fined, but for opening his business without authorization. In the event of a repeat offense, his living room could be subject to an administrative closure for thirty days from the end of confinement.

The police do not know if the hair salon had opened on other days. There is no doubt that its manager should now comply with the law.
