A grand concert by the National Band for Iraqi Musical Heritage

On Saturday, the National Band for Iraqi Musical Heritage, led by Iraqi musician Alaa Majeed, presented a grand concert in the hall of the National Theater, the seats of which were fully filled.
The National Ensemble for Iraqi Musical Heritage presented musical and lyrical events in which they combined group and solo performances, where Maestro Alaa Majeed presented with the band a piece of music by Naseer Shamma titled “Good Morning Baghdad”, while the oud Ihsan Mansour played solo, then the song “Welcome” which is one of singer Fadel Awad’s songs and was introduced by oud player Manar Duraid.Then a group song titled “I run the eye” was performed , I don’t have my beloved”, followed by Nazem Al-Ghazali’s song “I love you and I want to forget you”, which was presented by psaltery player Ismail Al-Baghdadi, while the late singer Saadi Al-Hilli’s song ” Akhdar Akhdar” was performed by the band, while Iraqi maqam singer Taha Gharib introduced one of the maqamat, while maqam reciter Muhammad Sajjad introduced the maqam al-bayat and the song “Jaljal Ali al-Rumman”. The Bedouin song ‘Al Mimar’ was also featured, while Fadel Awad’s song ‘Hasebink’ was featured by the band, featuring talented vocals Karrar Nuri.
Singer Hussein Jabbar introduced “Al-Shatri” and added it with the song “I stayed when I die”, while singer Ihsan Mansour introduced the song “Market Hwana” from the ancient visual heritage.
