Maha Talaat, a regional advisor at the WHO Infection Prevention Unit, said that the decline in Corona infections in Egypt is a matter that has been frequently discussed in the organization’s crisis committee, noting that global health has studied the reason for the delay in the emergence of cases in some countries.

She added during an interview with the “The Story” program, presented by Amr Adib on the channel “mbc Egypt”, on Monday evening, that studies denying or proving the difference in the spread of Corona in countries from others is difficult, explaining that countries differ in their strategy to discover cases.

She indicated that 16% to 40% of citizens do not suffer from symptoms of Corona, and the result of the analysis was positive for the virus, saying that the organization hopes that there will be no increase in the infected.

The regional advisor on global health explained that the patient transmits the infection to two, which leads to the continuation of the infection cycle and the increase in cases, stressing that the stage of controlling the transmission of infection is possible.

She stated that the occurrence of a second wave of the Corona virus depends on increasing the numbers after the stabilization of infections for a period ranging from three weeks to a month. Follow-up: “Jordan, Tunisia and Lebanon were recording negligible cases, then the infections increased significantly, which led to a second wave.”
