The pond overflowed and the Branišovič family, in cooperation with firefighters and Pohořelice pond-makers, forgave it from seven o’clock on Saturday morning until early Sunday morning. “The water spilled into the gardens, but the level of the pond dropped by five centimeters and the stream went down by eighty centimeters,” the mayor told Deník Rovnost.
According to him, the suction of water by pumps also helped to reduce the levels. “With the Morava River Basin, I want to solve the cleaning of the stream with an excavator on Monday, in order to create more space for a possible further influx of water,” added Sovka.
