The Muziketo association announces the programming of a new concert with “a flavor of jazz made in the USA”, explains the president of the association, Alain Bouvelle. Saturday February 5, at the Château d’Aubiac, the American saxophonist Kareem Kandi, currently on tour in France, will be on stage.
Talented jazzman
Native of the west coast of the United States, this talented jazzman, composer, pedagogue and outstanding musician is strongly rooted in the tradition of American jazz (classical, blues, funk…) but with one eye, one ear, resolutely turned towards the future and modernity.
During this performance, Kareem Kandi will offer the Muziketo audience a journey into his universe with the warm sound of the tenor, the clarity of his compositions, the clarity of his writing… He will be accompanied on this journey by his compatriot Greg Feingold at the double bass, and by two magnificent musicians from the Toulouse jazz scene, André Sutre on the piano, and Carsten Weimann on the drums.
