A fire is burning the construction site of the “Arsenal” plant in Kazanlak, BNT reported. A fire engine is behind the arms factory fence.

The fire was reported around 11:30 pm last night. The flames could be seen from almost all of Kazanlak and the surrounding settlements.

BNR reports that they are burning garbage and dry grass, away from residential and industrial buildings. By 8:40 no more flames were visible, only gray-white smoke in the immediate vicinity. According to local people, the landfill has been on fire for 2-3 days, but has caught fire more severely since last night. A team of the Arsenal departmental fire brigade and two fire brigades from Kazanlak are working on the spot. The armory also sent a tanker to put out the flames. There is still no official information on the cause of the fire. The firefighters of Stara Zagora, quoted by the national radio, assure that the fire will be extinguished within the day.
