The release of the next big game from PlayStation 4 (and probably the last before PlayStation 5) arrives this Friday. The opportunity to discover new images of the title of the studio Sucker Punch Productions.
In Ghost of Tsushima, players will play Jin Sakai, a samurai ready to do anything to defend his island, even if it means moving away from the teachings of Bushido, the code of moral principles of the Japanese samurai: “The Mongol empire ravaged entire nations during its campaign to conquer the East. Tsushima Island is the last bulwark protecting the Japanese archipelago from an invasion by the incredible Mongol fleet. As the first wave of the Mongol assault engulfs Tsushima Island, the samurai warrior Jin Sakai puts his life on the line to protect his people and reclaim their lands.”

Open world gaming is a PlayStation 4 exclusive. It is the second major console title in less than a month. Indeed, on June 19, the Sony console hosted The Last of Us Part II, another highly anticipated exclusivity (although highly criticized by racist, homophobic and misogynistic players).
Note that for fans of Japanese cinema, Ghost of Tsushima will offer a black and white mode, dubbed “Kurosawa Mode”, in tribute to Akira Kurosawa, the director of Rashōmon and The Seven Samurai. “We wanted to make this great game that transports people to feudal Japan, and Akira Kurosawa was one of our references, especially at the beginning, when we were trying to establish a feeling. As we get closer and closer to the realization of this reality, we say to ourselves: what do we call this special mode that we have created, this return to black and white? We talked about a lot of different words and we thought: it would be great if we could call it Kurosawa mode ”, explained Jason Connell, creative director of the game, to the magazine Entertainment Weekly.

Finally, who says PlayStation game unfortunately says updates and patches of all kinds. Know that when it comes out, the game will offer a 7.7 GB patch. Enough to keep even the most impatient fans waiting.
