An 18-year-old young woman who had moved Quebec by giving a vibrant testimony to letting go of the disease died on Sunday, after facing cancer for much of her life.

“I’m even more tired than before. It’s as if all my efforts to recover no longer work, ”said Annie-Claude Mondor to Newspaper in June.
She had just buried her best friend, Laïla, and had chosen not to undergo experimental treatments to relieve the symptoms of her adrenal gland cancer at high risk of recurrence.
Without fear
She did not fear death. “I would like to find my best friend and my grandfather,” she said with great confidence.
A true fighter who faced the disease without batting an eyelid most of her life, she fell into a coma on Saturday afternoon. His family confirmed his death on Sunday.
The young woman was first diagnosed with cancer on December 24, when she was only 4 and a half years old. She had battled the disease for 18 months, which was followed by a period of remission that had left her in peace for 11 years.
However, the cancer came back in one of her hips when she was 15 years old. Despite the treatments, the disease eventually spread.
