Microsoft last week released the May 2020 update for Windows 10 Windows 10 – Also known as (Windows 10 2004 Edition) – which introduces a number of new features and improvements for users; To help increase your productivity.
But some users have reported that they are receiving an error message when installing the update, as the message says: “You must adjust the computer settings before upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10. Turn off (Memory Integrity) to continue.”
Has been Microsoft has approved The problem with the Memory Integrity feature is that it causes the update to be prevented from installing if you did not turn it off, or to update the graphics card drivers in your device.
Microsoft also warned of the consequences that might occur if you ignore the problem, and imposed the latest Windows 10 update manually by pressing the Update now button, or using the Media Creation tool, or any other tool.
Microsoft may be developing a permanent solution to the problem in the next patch, but right now turning off (Memory Integrity), or installing the latest version of the drivers, is the best way to ensure that no major problems are encountered when updating Windows 10.
You can turn off the Memory Integrity feature through the following steps:
- Go to the (Settings) page on your Windows 10 computer.
- Click Update & Security.
- Click Windows Security.
- Click on the option (Core isolation details).
- Turn off (Memory Integrity) setting by pressing the toggle below it.
- Restart your computer, then start installing the update.
If you are using Memory Integrity and do not want to turn it off, you will need to download and install the latest version of the graphics card drivers, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth from your computer manufacturer’s website, in order to install the latest system update.
It is worth noting that during March 2020, Microsoft recognized another error In (Memory Integrity) feature can prevent drivers from loading, which may cause major problems, including the system stalling.
So if you choose the second solution which is to install the latest version of the drivers and it did not work, you will need to follow the first solution which is to turn off the (Memory Integrity) feature before you can install the latest system update.
