A durable and modular electric motorcycle

La Luna incorporates many features and designs that differentiate it from traditional motorcycles.

The American manufacturer Tarform has just lifted the veil on its new bike. An electric model with an astonishing design that aims to be durable and modular.

With its 55 horsepower engine powered by a 10 kWh battery, the Luna provides a range of 200 km with a top speed of 150 km / h. It will take an hour to recharge it to more than 80%. Despite its electric side, the bike with a retro roadster look has something to seduce thrill seekers since it can go from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.8 seconds.

But what sets the Luna apart from other electric motorcycles is that it is meant to be durable. It was in fact designed from recycled and recyclable materials, including aluminum and vegetable leather. In addition, it is possible to change parts of the bike to extend its life instead of throwing it in the landfill. The battery can thus be replaced when it shows signs of fatigue. The manufacturer stresses that this will also make it possible to take advantage of the technological advances of future batteries without changing motorcycles. Other spare parts offering improvements to the bike can also be added.

The Luan has a 180 ° rear camera that displays on a color screen on the handlebars. The bike has a unique blind spot detection system that warns the driver of the presence of an obstacle thanks to vibrations in the saddle. It is also equipped with the keyless start system.

A gem of technology and design that obviously comes at a price. It will take $ 24,000 to afford a Luna. The pre-orders have been launched and the first deliveries are scheduled for next year.
