A decision for the Egyptian courts to return to work … and to set the date

The Egyptian Assistant Minister of Justice for Judicial Inspection Affairs, Ahmed Mohamed, stated that misdemeanor courts will return to work after Eid al-Fitr, in order to consider the cases reserved for pronouncement of judgment, in addition to the return of holding family court sessions of all kinds.

The text of the decision clarified that all sessions will be held to pronounce judgments only for a period of two weeks.

The decision of the Egyptian Ministry of Justice stated that the numbers of litigants should be commensurate with the venue of the sessions and in order to achieve health precautions in the circumstances of the spread of the Corona virus.

He also stressed that consideration should be given to determining the sessions of the new cases commensurate with the issues that were postponed, and to achieve the possibility of applying precautionary measures.

The decision stressed that all judges and court officials wear masks for the entire period of their stay in the court, with an inspection of that and immediate disciplinary action should be taken in violation of this.
