A dead man was found by a burnt-out mill in Slaný

A dead man was found by passers-by on Tuesday morning at a transformer station near the burned-out mill building. According to witnesses, he is a local homeless man.

“The initial investigation did not reveal any foreign fault of the death, it is a sudden death of a man,” police spokeswoman Jana Šteinerová told Novinka. The police did not comment on the case anymore.

The firefighters originally went to the mill fire on Saturday. The roof of the old building was mostly burning, the firefighters had put out the fire in two hours. They handed over one person to the rescue care. The damage to the building, which dates from the 16th century, was estimated at 800,000 crowns.
