In Tatarstan, the prosecutor’s office intends to challenge the decision of the Bugulma court of the republic, which acquitted the man in the case of violence against his own daughter, Ruslan Galiev, senior assistant to the prosecutor of Tatarstan, said.
The incident occurred in October 2019. The arriving doctor discovered bleeding in a one and a half year old daughter who was at home with her father. After that, law enforcement authorities opened a criminal case of sexual violence with a person under 14 years of age.
Later, the man gave conflicting evidence. At first, he stated that he wanted to change the diaper for his daughter, and accidentally injured her. And then he said that he “freaked out” after talking with his wife, and recouped his daughter. At the same time, the wife of the defendant came forward in his defense. Then the court acquitted the man.
The verdict states that the child was slightly harmed. According to the examination, there were intentional injuries. The court also noted that men did not set goals to satisfy their sexual needs. Meanwhile, a petition appeared on the net. The authors of which require a conviction against a man.
