Summer is coming and with the season the extension of line 1A of the urban bus from A Coruña to Santa Cristina also returns. With frequencies of at least 20 minutes, this bus crosses the city of A Coruña and returning after making its last stop at the Santa Cristina roundabout. The service will be operational until September 15.
This extension of line 1A was launched in 2019 and this same spring the Superior Court of Xustiza de Gailcia (TSXG) endorsed the agreement signed between the councils and the Xunta de Galicia after the complaint of the metropolitan service concessionaire, Autos Cal Pita.
Both consistories have demanded that the Xunta reach Santa Crisitina throughout the year, a request also from public transport users. However, the Department of Infrastructure has rejected this possibility, arguing that Oleiros has not paid the compensation to Cal Pita for the alleged loss of travelers. Oleiros rejects that he has to pay any type of compensation.
