Both cases occurred in the Sambra region: in the villages of Losinets and Khashchev. The victims ended up in the Turkov Central Local Hospital.

The woman has a snake in her left leg. She is in intensive care. The condition of the injured physicians assessed as moderate.
The child was also hospitalized in intensive care. The girl was diagnosed with a snake bite in the little finger of the right foot. The condition of the victim is also moderate.
Rescuers of the region ask local residents to be careful and attentive when visiting the forest or in nature, they are advised to wear high, tight shoes that the snake will not bite through.
“Remember, if you accidentally saw a snake next to you, do not panic, do not approach and do not make sudden movements, but calmly move away. Reptiles have poor eyesight and hearing, but with their bodies they very well pick up ground vibrations at a distance of 10-15 meters” , the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
As reported, along with warmth and nature walks tick season is back. According to statistics, this pest is most active in May. Every year 20,000 Ukrainians suffer from tick bites. And these are only those who officially turned to the doctor for help.
