A big game happened in Gujarat, many people were cheated with fake toll plaza, tax of thousands of rupees was also collected every day.

Ahmedabad. A news has come out from Gujarat, which directly looks like a film scene. Actually, a fake toll plaza was built on the Bamanbor-Kutch National Highway of the state and passengers were being cheated through it for one and a half years.

This toll plaza was built on a private land in Morbi district of Gujarat, bypassing the National Highway and 50 percent of the price was also charged. According to the news published in NDTV, passengers, police and government officials were deceived through this bridge for more than a year.

Local district collector GT Pandya said, “We received information that some vehicles were being diverted from the actual route of Vargasiya toll plaza and toll tax was being collected. “Police and other officials reached the spot to investigate and filed a detailed complaint.”

The manager of the authorized toll plaza on the highway said that the owner of the private land was defrauding all the passengers of thousands of rupees every day for one and a half years. The lure of paying 50 per cent of the daily fixed rate prompted travelers to adopt this route and the illegal tax being collected went unnoticed for more than a year. It was found that the accused had diverted traffic from the original route by using land owned by a closed factory called White House Ceramic Company.

Police have registered a complaint against factory owner Amarshi Patel and four others Vanraj Singh Jhala, Harvijay Singh Jhala, Dharmendra Singh Jhala, Yuvraj Singh Jhala and others. The incident comes months after a man was arrested in the state for setting up fake government offices for nearly three years and defrauding government funds of over Rs 4 crore.
