A cut tree fell and killed a 9-year-old child in the Montana village of Parlichevo, the Montana Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior announced.
The horrific incident happened yesterday. In the afternoon a signal was received on the emergency number 112 from the child’s father. The 61-year-old man said that the child was with him while cutting firewood in the village. Then one of the trees fell on the 9-year-old and killed him on the spot.
A police team and an ambulance arrived at the scene. The uniformed officers performed an examination, and the medics only ascertained the death of the child and transported the body for autopsy.
Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted in the case.
