Taoyuan City Fire Department received a report yesterday afternoon that a boy fell next to a tall building in Guishan District. Paramedics arrived on the scene and found a 2-year-old boy lying on the road, breathing heavily and unconsciously. At that time, a passerby first assisted in performing CPR. Ambulance personnel immediately took action, carried him on a stretcher into an ambulance and sent him to Linkou Chang Gung Hospital for emergency treatment, but the boy was seriously injured and eventually died.
It is understood that the boy lived on the eighth floor of the building, and the parents were not at home because the boy was fast asleep. Unexpectedly, something happened. The prosecutor’s office and the police conducted a phase inspection today and the cause of the accident is still being investigated to clarify.
The Taoyuan City Domestic Violence Prevention Center said it immediately sent personnel to investigate the incident.
