Five boys, three of them minors, have been arrested by Belgian police on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl in the northwestern city of Ghent.
The crime was committed on May 15, when the girl had an appointment with one of the boys in the city cemetery park, but four of his friends appeared with him.
Then they attacked the girl and raped her, during which time they took several photos, which they uploaded on social networks. Four days after the incident, the teenager ended her life, informs the online edition Free.
After search operations, the five perpetrators were found and detained by the police, the youngest of whom is 14 years old.
Belgian Justice Minister Vincent van Kuikenborn condemned the horrific act and assured that the state would be uncompromising against all sexual abusers.
