A 1,000-meter-long Asteroid to Make Close Approach to Earth on August 23

A 1,000-meter-long asteroid is dangerously close to Earth on August 23.

And according to Russia today, the Center for the Study of Near-Earth Objects of the American space agency “NASA” announced the approach that may be dangerous to an asteroid from Earth.

According to the center’s data, asteroid 6037 (1988 EG) is expected to approach Earth at a distance of 6.1 million km on August 23 at 8:18 am GMT, as its path will intersect with Earth’s orbit.

The diameter of the asteroid is between 430 and 960 meters, and its speed is 14.3 kilometers per second.

It should be noted that any space objects approaching Earth at a distance of less than 7.5 million kilometers potentially pose a danger.
