Domingo on the LeLive launch: “I expected more”

Domingo and the other columnists of Pop corn spoke about the catastrophic launch of the new WebTV from Webedia during the broadcast on Tuesday, February 4.

This Monday, February 4, Webedia launched its new cross-platform WebTV broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, Dailymotion, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook and Molotov TV. This launch has enormously made speak those who could attend it with many negative reactions on the social networks.

And like every Tuesday evening, Domingo met with Marie Palot, Ponce and a new guest: MisterMV. And unfortunately for those who wanted to see even more blood flowing, Sardoche was not present as he had announced a few days earlier on Twitter, his absence was therefore not voluntary on this timing which could have been interesting.

In all cases, everyone was able to give their opinion, “without any tongue in cheek”, as pointed out by Domingo who is part of the LeLive project.

Ponce began on the subject, stating from the start that he was “gigantic skeptic” and that he did not really expect much from this evening. But in the end, it was worse than he thought with the many technical problems and everything that followed. But what disappointed him the most was that he had to adapt to this new WebTV, he who ran a monthly program “Ponce la nuit”, which had to be reprogrammed accordingly.

MisterMV quickly followed by starting with a comparison with the launch of LeStream which had been supported in particular by Squeezie at the start, while LeLive did not have this mass support at launch. He addressed technical issues that appeared to be due to preparation that appeared to have been made at the last minute. But the experienced streamer also touched on the huge difference there can be between YouTube and Twitch.

A youtubeur can not be as comfortable live without editing, cuts etc … This requires spontaneity, and conversely a streamer will surely not have the same facilitate shooting videos by leaving blanks to make cuts and energize the video for example. Ponce also underlined the fact that he had found that Inoxtag and Michou had been very good during this evening, because in the end they are youtubers who are used to stream regularly.

Unlike most people, Marie was “quite hyped” by the project, especially with the video trailer which promised beautiful things but also because she liked the fact that people from television, youtubers and streamers were gathered during broadcasts broadcast live on the internet.

As for P-A, he expressed his point of view by being himself involved in the project with his show “About the show”. He was therefore present at this launch party which brought together nearly twenty personalities from different backgrounds such as Michel Cymes, Agathe Auproux, Kévin Razy and many others.

He himself was disappointed and really expected more especially given the resources that were put into the project. He also tells that Webedia would have suggested that he take the Popcorn show for LeLive, but he refused because it was not really in his interest. Domingo came up with the idea of creating a kind of game show with new mechanics, something that changes from the classic games that you can watch on TV every day.

While its broadcast should start shortly, the pilot has not yet been filmed, which seems to him to be very late.

Perhaps the launch of LeLive has been rushed, but in any case that does not prevent that many programs of this WebTV will probably manage to emerge later.
