ROERMOND – The water level in the Maas in Limburg is rising sharply due to the continuous rain in the river basin in France, Belgium and Limburg. The Water Management Center of the Netherlands expects a peak of 14 meters in height for a Wednesday morning with a water discharge of a maximum of around 1900 cubic meters per second at Sint Pieter near Maastricht, after which the water level is likely to fall gradually.
