The Belgian competition was suspended due to a coronavirus pandemic in March and ended prematurely two months later. Bruges was happy with the title, but they did not win the home cup after five years.
The first competitive duel in Belgium since March was decided in the 25th minute by the Israeli Lior Refaelov. Antwerp, which eliminated Pilsen a year ago in the 3rd preliminary round of the European League, won the third home cup in club history.
The new league season will start in Belgium next Saturday.
