Now Ford is revealing more about its Mustang Mach-E

After some difficult years with declining sales in the Norwegian market, it is now pointing upwards again for Ford.

The new and rechargeable SUV Kuga is a success – and soon it will be ready for a car that will really make its mark on the bestseller lists.

We’re talking about the electric SUV Mustang Mach-E. It should actually come to Norway this year, but is now postponed until early 2021.

The response among Norwegian customers has been enormous, with very many reservations.

Now Ford is dripping a little more information about the newcomer, which, among other things, will have an impressive sound system.

Provides a better ride

For the first time, a Ford’s audio system uses as much as a third of the car’s dashboard space. This should not only give all the passengers in the car access to a good sound experience, but is also an important design element in the car. This is where the speakers are integrated at the top of the instrument panel, like a soundboard.

– Listening to music can have a positive impact on your mood. A premium sound system gives you a better ride. Studies also show that it can help the driver focus better, especially on longer and monotonous driving distances, says design director at Ford Europe, Amko Leenarts.

Good sound is increasingly important for many car buyers. The system in the upcoming Mustang Mach-E comes from B&O.

Saves weight

On average, a driver spends four years of his life behind the wheel of a car. Customers are also increasingly concerned about top sound quality. This is one of the starting points for Ford’s design philosophy. The interior of the car should be a place you really want to be.

An external subwoofer also utilizes the cabin’s design to produce a powerful bass sound, even though it weighs only half of a standard subwoofer and takes up 80 percent less space. Weight savings at all levels is one of the reasons why the new Mustang Mach-E has a range of up to 600 kilometers, with rear-wheel drive.

Updates via the web

The sound from the B&O sound system is specially adapted to the Mustang Mach-E. Although an electric car creates far less noise inside the passenger compartment than a car with a traditional internal combustion engine, sounds that could not be heard before also become audible.

This was also taken into account by the engineers from Harman – with their specialist expertise in acoustics – when they fine-tuned the B&O facility.

Ford has also equipped the new Mustang Mach-E with the ability to continuously improve the car’s features, from everything from voice recognition system to the car’s performance and driver assistance technologies, via OTA (Over The Air) updates.

Tesla was out here very early, now (finally) the traditional car manufacturers are also following suit.
