Around 11:30 am on Sunday July 12, a shooting broke out on Madison Street in New York. Three men get shot, one year old baby too. The latter did not survive his injuries, he died the following day in the hospital.
The perpetrators remain unknown at present. They arrived at the scene by car, went out with weapons in hand before firing on their victims. The baby was immediately taken to Maimonides Medical Center according to the New York Post.
When the doctors thought they could save him when he arrived, the very young boy died around 2:30 a.m. The other men affected by the gunshots, aged 27 and 35, are doing better. They are also hospitalized but their life prognosis is not at risk. They were respectively affected in the ankle, groin and leg.
This shooting is not an isolated case in New York. Always Sunday evening, two 12 and 15 year olds were shot in two separate shootings, in Brooklyn and Harlem.
