While it was forbidden to protest against the corona measures, protesters nevertheless came to the Malieveld. After a short demonstration, the area around The Hague Central Station and Malieveld confronted the ME. According to the police, rioters have used considerable force in this. Prime Minister Mark Rutte later said that “snuffed hooligans” have abused the demonstration against the corona measures.
In total, 425 people were arrested and often sent with fines. Twelve people have been arrested for open violence, but the police are still looking for “some” others.
The photos of unknown suspects will first be shown on Tuesday at the end of the afternoon in the investigation program Team West at Omroep West and in the evening in Opsporing Verzocht.
