A motorist who drove over the East ring at high speed last night was stopped by the police. He raced 183 kilometers past a point where, due to work, 90 kilometers per hour was allowed at the time.

The crash barriers were being worked on at the speed measurement site. The road was partially blocked by means of matrix signs and road users were informed of the lower speed limit.
The 52-year-old driver from Almere did not respond to this. A prosecutor will later determine whether and when the man will get his driving license back.
