Want to Swim in a Public Pool? These are tips from Doctor Reisa

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – During the pandemic Covid-19 like now, outdoor sports have become a trend. The most widely seen is the use of bicycles by various groups of people. However, one of the most risky is swimming.

The sport is actually not prohibited. However, there are health protocols that must be followed if you want to swim in public swimming pools. This was revealed by the Public Communication Team Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19 doctor Reisa Broto Asmoro.

“What are you waiting for? Can you use a swimming pool? (The answer) Yes, if you make sure swimming pool water use disinfectant with chlorine 1-10 ppm or bromine 3-8 ppm so the water pH is 7.2-8. And every day the results must be displayed on information board so that all users know, “he said in a press statement from Graha BNPB, Sunday (6/26/2020).

In addition, there are a number of other health protocols that must also be obeyed, including managers to clean and disinfect all surfaces around swimming pools such as seating, floors, and others. No less important is to keep a distance in the dressing room.

“Make sure guests who will use the swimming pool are in good health, by filling in the Covid-19 risk self-assessment form (form 1). If the results of self-assessment fall into the category of high risk, swimming is not allowed,” Reisa said.

The last three conditions are limiting the number of pool users in order to be able to maintain a distance, use all their individual equipment and the last is to use a mask before and after swimming.

Rules for the use of swimming pools have been regulated in RI Minister of Health Decree No. HK.01.07 / Menkes / 382/2020 Concerning Health Protocols for Communities in Public Places and Facilities in the Context of Prevention and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19).
