On Sunday, June 28, in many parts of Latvia it will rain for a while, but the heat will still remain, according to the forecasters of the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center.
During the day the sun will mix with clouds and in many places it will rain briefly, possibly also a thunderstorm. A slow wind will blow, which can become gusty during a thunderstorm. The air temperature is expected to be in the range of + 25… + 30 degrees, while in some places the coastal areas will be slightly colder – the air will warm up to + 21… + 24 ° degrees.
The sky will often be clear in Riga as well, but significant precipitation is not expected. A slow wind will blow. The thermometer bar will rise to + 28… + 29 degrees.
Due to the long-lasting heat in the capital, an orange warning has been issued.
This means that heat exposes the general public to an increased risk of health problems, especially the elderly and infants.
Citizens must follow and follow the instructions given by the responsible authorities.
