Train traffic: Thuringian commuters also affected – Halle Central Station closed

After five years of construction, the main train station in Halle is almost finished, but must now be fully closed in order to connect the tracks to the infrastructure. This means that some stations are not used. By diversions the travel times are extended and also some departure times are temporarily changed.

Which trains are affected?

ICE 15 SPRINTER Berlin – Halle – Erfurt – Frankfurt (M) (- Saarbrücken / Darmstadt / Stuttgart):

The ICE trains are diverted and do not stop in Halle (Saale) Hbf. Most trains also stop in Leipzig Hbf. Some trains also stop in Bitterfeld. Up to 25 minutes earlier departure / later arrival in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen / Berlin Hbf. Some trains also do not stop in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.

ICE 18 Hamburg – Berlin – Halle (S) – Erfurt – Nuremberg – Munich:

Detour and no stop in Halle (Saale) Hbf as well as changed travel times and additional stop in Bitterfeld as well as replacement rail traffic between Halle (Saale) Hbf and Bitterfeld. Most ICE trains are diverted and do not stop in Halle (Saale) Hbf. Some departure times are delayed by up to 25 minutes (in Hamburg-Altona / Berlin-Spandau / Berlin Hbf).

ICE 1700 to Berlin Hbf (19.55 from Munich Hbf):

The train does not stop in Halle (Saale) Hbf, but also in Bitterfeld. Use the replacement buses between Halle (Saale) Hbf (from 10:45 p.m. / at 0:30 a.m.) and Bitterfeld (at 11:25 p.m. / from 11:50 p.m.).

ICE 29 SPRINTER (Warnemünde -) Berlin – Halle – Erfurt – Nuremberg – Munich:

The ICE trains are diverted and do not stop in Halle (Saale) Hbf. Most trains also stop in Leipzig Hbf. Some trains also stop in Bitterfeld. Here, too, up to 25 minutes earlier departure / later arrival must be observed. And that in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen / Berlin Hbf. Some trains also do not stop in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen.

All restrictions are expected to apply from Monday, November 25, 9:00 p.m. to Monday, December 2, 4:00 p.m.
