The construction site for the extension of terminal 2 at Nice Côte d’Azur airport begins with the installation of the first Algecos for a construction site which is proving to be very important. Established in the extension of the current Terminal 2, the extension takes the form of a long dock offering 25,000 m2 of premises with 6 reception stations for aircraft and as many in boarding lounges plus a space for handling baggage.

It will have a capacity of handling 3 million passengers per year. Its cost should be around between 70 and 80 M€ with the equipment (estimate). As a reminder, in 2022 the airport recorded more than 12 million passengers.

And 2023 is off to a very strong start with, in the months of January and February alone, cumulative traffic of more than 1.4 million passengers, up 40% compared to January-February 2022!

And as many companies have announced their return or installation this year, there is no doubt that at this rate the record traffic of 2019 (more than 14 million passengers) should be largely exceeded.

In other words, the extension of Terminal 2, delivered in 2025, appears necessary for the correct processing of passengers.
