Two occupants of a wrong-way car on the A16 were known to the police | Interior

Two occupants of the ghost-driving car that caused an accident on the A16 near Roosendaal (North Brabant) last weekend were known to the police. Sources report this ANP. Three people died in the accident.

The 33-year-old driver from Tilburg and the 19-year-old co-driver from Drunen would have been involved in assaults before. They would also have violated the Opium Act several times. It is not clear whether the third occupant, a seventeen-year-old boy from Harreveld, is known to the police.

The trio drove against traffic on the A16 last Sunday evening. They may have been involved in a shooting incident earlier that evening. A nineteen-year-old man from Roosendaal was injured.

The vehicle collided with another car near Prinsenbeek. In that car were a 54-year-old man from Rotterdam, a 51-year-old mother and her 14-year-old daughter from Antwerp. The Rotterdammer was killed, the mother and daughter were injured. A dog that was in the car also did not survive.

The ghost-driving Tilburger and the boy from Harreveld also died in the collision. The driver from Drunen was injured. He is suspected of involvement in the shooting. Police found a firearm in the car.
