Bloodstained Ritual of the Night: Switch version welcomes Zangetsu and Randomizer mode – News

Deployed in early May on other platforms, the update 1.10 of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally available on Nintendo Switch. On the program: a new playable character and a “Randomizer” mode.

If you have already finished Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and got the “good ending”, you can repeat the adventure at the controls of the demon hunter Zangetsu, a character with his own abilities and promising a more frenzied experience. However, consumables, gear, chests, quests, story cutscenes, and crafting are disabled when you control it.

Another novelty to motivate to relaunch a game: the Randomizer mode, which allows you to add a share of randomness by adjusting eight parameters concerning the layout of the backup rooms, the appearance of objects and crystals or the rewards of the quests. Note that this mode replaces the roguelike mode initially promised during the campaign Kickstarter, but which will never see the light of day, the developers having explained that “the code created at the beginning of the development of the game is incompatible with this type of gameplay”.
