Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso announces that 500 families will receive childcare supplies over the next month.
Families that have been selected by the Maternal Health Task Force, they will receive diapers, baby wipes, nursing pads and other baby-friendly products.
Reynoso says this lottery is possible thanks to a $100,000 grant they received for their office.
The borough president hopes this partnership with the Met Council will allow him to deliver on his promise to make Brooklyn the safest borough in the city to have a baby.
