Bosz has ‘great feeling’ ahead of Bundesliga restart | NOW

Peter Bosz is very much looking forward to the resumption of the Bundesliga, which will be the first top league to continue in just over a week. The Bayer Leverkusen coach enjoys working towards matches again with his players.

“The tension is immediately back, as you can tell from everyone involved. The return of the group training gives a great feeling,” says 56-year-old Bosz on the Leverkusen site.

“For the first time we have the feeling that everything we do has to do with football. That is very nice for the players and for us as coaches. It smells like football again.”

Bosz found the past period difficult. “We had to keep our players busy for almost two months without working anywhere. They were having fun, but the competition was not there,” he said.

“Without spectators, the games will still be different, but we will see how it goes. We have the advantage that we only play on Mondays, so we can see how things go in the weekend.”

The German government determined on Wednesday that the Bundesliga can be resumed and a day later, May 16 was set as the date. Leverkusen, the number five in the competition, will visit Werder Bremen on Monday 18 May.
