Sony has just finished State of Play in June. The event also featured new games aimed at PS5, PS4 and personal computers, but this is a good time to sum up the event. How do you rate the show?

PlayStation State of Play – June 2022. Evaluation of the editors of PPE.pl

Roger: As for State of Play, with which it was different, this time we got mainly meat. Resident Evil 4 looks like a full-fledged remake and will still hit in early 2023, where it will be tight again with premieres. These are the times when the line-up is more interesting in the first quarter of the new year than in the autumn and holiday season. PS VR 2 will get a few nice tips to start, and Horizon looks beautiful. Let the support not end in the first year on the market. The Callisto Protocol is the new Dead Space and I want to play it! A black horse like nothing. The Stray also looks “cute” in its own way and I enjoyed the Street Fighter VI show, though I hope the game won’t be released without 80% content this time around. At the end of Final Fantasy XVI – I’m waiting, because Fajnal is always Fajnal, but it’s not the magnetism it used to be. The trailer is a bit chaotic, the characters in the cut-scenes look … well, they don’t, although the gameplay itself promises to be interesting. In other words – a very nice version of State of Play, concise, with strong, specific productions and dynamically edited.

Score: 5/6

Wojtek: Sony did not disappoint by providing a piece of interesting spectacle filled with third-party productions. After all, Resident Evil 4 Remake officially arrives, and we’ve even seen Street Fighter 6 and Final Fantasy XVI – it’s just a shame that all of the games will debut in 2023. This is going to be a challenging period for wallets again. Fortunately, The Callisto Protocol will hit the market in December, and Spider-Man Remastered will come to PC. This is a big surprise, because I thought that the company would decide to offer players from personal computers several other titles earlier. I do regret one thing – there was no specific bomb here that we had not heard of before.

Score: 5/6
