Joint press release by the public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt and the police headquarters in southern Hesse
Officers from the Darmstadt Narcotics Commissariat (K34) searched several locations in the city on Tuesday (January 25) as part of an investigation into suspected trafficking in narcotics.
Not only were the two suspects found and provisionally arrested, but almost nine kilograms of hashish, around 200 grams of cocaine and around 170 grams of amphetamine were also seized. During the searches, the investigators came across around 2,000 euros in cash, which could have come from the drug deals. The money was also taken into official custody.
At the request of the Darmstadt public prosecutor’s office, the 25-year-old urgent suspect was brought before a magistrate at the Darmstadt District Court on Wednesday afternoon (January 26). He issued an arrest warrant and ordered him to be held in custody. His alleged accomplice was initially released after the conclusion of the criminal police measures.
