Vicente Fernández was born in Huentitán El Alto, a neighborhood of humble origins in Guadalajara, in western Mexico. The singer proudly boasted of his roots and left testimony in his songs, interviews and even in the way he was also known: “El Charro de Huentitán”. CNN moved there, where the Mexican legend began.
