Taliban Give Cash and Land to Family of Suicide Bomber

ACCEPTANCE – Taliban awarded a plot of land and cash to family members of the “heroic” suicide bombers who died after targeting US and Afghan forces.

The statement was made by Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosty on Twitter on October 19, 2021.

Writing on social media, Qari Saeed Khosty cited an announcement made the day before by acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani describing the “martyrdom” bombers who died for “jihad and sacrifice” as “heroes of Islam and the state.”

Haqqani is the acting interior minister whose head is valued at US$10 million. He was referred to as a “specially named global terrorist”.

He met the families of the suicide bombers at a ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul, which was targeted by suicide bombers in 2018.
