Equestrian show, becerrada, comic play … There was something to do at the Jardins de la Fontaine this Saturday. Return on these events which are also organized this Sunday.

Most of the feria’s activities take place in the magnificent setting of the Jardins de la Fontaine. Taking into account the health constraints, the program is lightened and modified. Usually organized in front of the great wall of the Gardens, the equestrian show took place this Saturday morning in the arenas of the Bosquet at the entrance to the park. It was again about fifteen riders, the youngest of whom was barely 6 years old, from the “Tour Magno Gardiano” equestrian center who delighted the public by riding Camargue horses. The highlighting of a race that is inextricably linked to Nîmes from a geographical point of view. Dressage, jumping from horse to horse, playing musical chairs … The families present in large numbers, with many young children, were amazed.

At the start of the afternoon, young people from the French bullfighting center took to the small arenas of Le Bosquet, a place usually occupied by boules players. The budding bullfighters did not lack courage and at times the public shuddered for these brave teenagers. La Becerrada is reserved for the youngest who may be the stars of French bullfighting tomorrow. At the same time, but on the side of the Temple of Diana, it is quite another thing that is offered with a humorous show of the comedy of Nîmes. The joyous band produced a parody of a totally crazy tele-hook 100% Nîmois. The candidates, wacky, were appreciated by the public.

This Sunday, find the equestrian show at 11 a.m., three feria performances on stage (Theater with the Nîmes comedy) at the Temple of Diana at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. as well as the becerrada at the bullfighting area from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
