World Leaders Shocked and Condemned the Brutal Assassination of Haitian President

WASHINGTON – World leaders condemned the assassination of the President Haiti Jovenel Moise in the attack that left First Lady Martine Moise injured.

Haiti’s Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph said a group of unidentified men attacked Moise’s private residence in Port-au-Prince and killed him early Wednesday (7/7) local time.

US President Joe Biden said, “I am shocked and saddened to hear of this horrific killing. The act was vile. I wish the first lady a speedy recovery.”

“The United States extends its condolences to the Haitian people, and we stand ready to help as we continue to work for a safe and secure Haiti,” Biden said.
